How to set up your beneficiary account

A simple guide for trust beneficiaries joining Adesco

Step 1 - Check your inbox

Your trustee (typically your lawyer) has opened a trust account on your behalf. You'll receive an invitation email from Adesco with a link to join. Click the link in the email to get started.

Note: The invitation link is valid for 7 days.

Step 2 - Accept the invitation

The link takes you to a screen showing your trust account and your trustee's name. Click Join Account to accept.

If the invitation isn't for you, click Decline and ask your trustee to send a new one.

Step 3 - Set your password

If you don't already have an Adesco account, you'll be asked to create a password for your email address. Enter and confirm your password, then click Continue.

Step 4 - Verify your personal details

You'll be asked to confirm your personal information: name, ID number, address, and phone number. Some fields may be pre-filled by your trustee. Review everything carefully and fill in anything that's missing.

Step 5 - Answer a few compliance questions

By law, we're required to ask every account holder a short set of questions about their background and intended use of the account. This keeps Adesco safe and compliant for everyone.

Step 6 - Sign and complete

Review the declaration, sign digitally, check the box to confirm, and click Complete. You now have access to your trust account.

Step 7 - Fill out tax information

Go to the "Settings" from the left navigation bar. Click on the "Tax Info" tab and complete the flow. A full explanation about how to fill out the tax info can be found here.
