What Documents Adesco Needs to Verify Your Bank Account

Adesco is required by Israeli law to verify the identity of every account holder we transfer funds to. It protects you, it protects your money, and it ensures that every transfer goes exactly where it is supposed to go. You only need to do this once per bank account.

Which Document Do You Need?

It depends on where your bank account is held.

If Your Account Is in Israel

You need an Account Confirmation Letter, known in Hebrew as an אישור ניהול חשבון.

This is an official letter from your Israeli bank. It confirms your name, your ID number or passport number, and your account details. It is not a bank statement. It is a specific document that your bank generates on request.

How to get it:

  1. Log in to your bank's website or mobile app
  2. Look for the search bar and type: אישור ניהול חשבון or Account Confirmation
  3. The document should appear under "Account Info," "My Documents," or "Services"
  4. Download it as a PDF

Common Israeli banks and where to look:

  • Bank Hapoalim (בנק הפועלים): Log in, go to "My Profile" or "Account Management," then search for "Account Confirmation"
  • Bank Leumi (בנק לאומי): Log in, go to "Self-Service" and search for "אישור ניהול חשבון"
  • Discount Bank (בנק דיסקונט): Log in, go to "My Account" and look under "Documents" or "Account Details"
  • Mizrahi-Tefahot (מזרחי-טפחות): Log in, go to "Services" and search for "Account Confirmation"

Not sure where to find it? Call your bank directly and ask: "Can you help me download my Account Confirmation Letter?" They will walk you through it in minutes.

If Your Account Is Outside of Israel

You need a Bank Statement.

This is a regular statement from your bank showing your name, your full account number. Most banks allow you to download statements directly from your online banking account.

How to get it:

  1. Log in to your bank's website or mobile app
  2. Look for a section called "Statements," "Account History," or "Documents"
  3. Download a recent statement as a PDF

The statement should clearly show:

  • Your full name
  • Your full account number
  • The bank's name and address

Any recent statement will do. It does not need to be from a specific date.

Getting help from your bank: If you cannot find your statement online, call your bank and ask: "Can you send me a copy of my most recent bank statement?" They can usually email it to you directly.
